The first blog that I first noticed deals with the musical group Bad company. First I like the header that it deals with, it jumps out at me and is a great way to start. Then the picture that is shown is also pretty cool to show that bad company is coming back to play and is still rocking out. The other blog that I thought was cool was the April fools blog. I enjoyed this blog because of all of the pictures that were there with the blog. I think that it is boring just to read some huge essay when it is just as amusing so show lots of pictures also it looked like there was a lot going on in the blog that others did not really have which was a nice change
Fair Use
The first aspect of using fair use and seeing if using fair use is correct you really need to look at the different things that you are able to deal with fair use. One way that you are able to use Fair use deals with the fact that if you are using a product to make money you are not able to make money off of using fair use. The second factor deals with where you are getting all of the copy written work. If you are using a portion of work that is fictional then you are less likely to get in trouble but if you use something that was not written in fiction like a work book then you are going to probably run into some trouble. The third aspect of the fair use deals with how much of the work you are trying to use fairly. The third factor also deals with what section of the work that you are taking out. This deals with the fact that if you are taking a little bit of a section of the book but it is the main heart of the work you are going to run into some trouble. The fourth factor that you are looking at when you are using fair use deals with whether or not you are affecting the market of the different works. If you are affecting the market of the work you are trying to use fair trade with then you will get into some trouble because of the fact that it is affecting the outcome of the original works. Fair use deals largely in what I deal with as a student. It is important that I find different resources in order to finish different projects. I really have to look at the different fair use ideas so that I am able to get as much credit and correct information for projects.
Long Tail Response
The long tail from my understanding deals with the fact there with every different type of entertainment there are different reasons for why a person is going to by the product and this mainly deals with the fact that people by things because of the mass public and because people are told that these different songs are good and says which movie to go and watch. The truth of the matter deals with the fact that most people really are not into the main big movies that everyone wants to watch they are more into those niche areas. The long tail deals with those movies and songs that everyone does not want to rent but there is such a large amount of people who do want the movies and CD’s there has to be a place where these people can buy these products. The long trail are those movies that are hard to find that you will be able to get only on netflix not at places like blockbuster because of the fact that there is only so much stuff that blockbuster can hold that are popular enough to go into blockbuster. Also compared to going out to a CD store and paying 20 dollars for a CD you can just hop onto itunes or Amazon and pick up a CD that no one really knows to much about but you still want to receive it.
The long tail effects my life in a huge way because of the fact that I am one of those people who really are not into mainstream movies or music and it is a little harder to find these movies and CD’s a blockbuster or a local music store so with the long tail there is an option for me to go out and still get my CD that I want compared to some CD that you don’t really want. The long tail really helps with finding movies that really are not too well known as well. I can just go onto netflix and a day later the DVD will be at my doorstep for a great price.
My first blog ever
This is the first time that I have ever blogged in my entire life because I was never really into blogging and talking on the web with friends personaly I think that people should just go outside and visit a freind and actually interact face to face with the person. Im doing these blogs because of a class that I am attending at CCV Burlington. Hopefully it is going to be an interesting class and I hope that we talk about interesting topics not just things about celebrities and the newest stupid thing that Sarah Palin just said I would like to stay away from things like this and talk about important things that are not just about pop media and the newest thing about the president elect ofcourse sometimes these things can be important but a lot of the times I just really dont care.
